Mom's are the center of the child's universe. They look to
mom for love, support, guidance and reassurance.
 | Activity: Take a trip to
the library. Talk about the different things you see inside the
library. Use the "card catalog" or computer to look up books of
children's plays. Choose one written in dialog form. Select a
short one to start with only a few characters. Use different
voices as you read each character. Once the child begins to read
which can be as early as 4 (but don't expect it) let them take one of
the characters. It will make reading an adventure. |
| Project: Growth Chart-
use your wall a door frame or fabric growth chart to measure your
child's growth. This gives you an opportunity to discuss feet and

Talk about how they are growing taller. Talk about how plants and trees
grow too. (more on plants next month) |

Heavenly Father, Thank you for life's tender blessings. With your
unfailing love you sustain both me and those dear to me. You have
drawn me close to your heart, Father, and refreshed me with the beauty
of your world. Help me to take time out of my hectic day, so that I
may fully appreciate your sweet gifts. Amen |
